    Last year my rent was raised to more than my Social Security covered. As a 73 year old lady I was staring at homelessness or living in my car. Fortunately, my income taxs came in, an accident insurance payment arrived & a check from a small commercial I filmed all came together. I searched till I found a small RV I could buy & now have a sweet little place to call home.
    Too many people haven't had that little bit of good fortune to help them in their time of need. AFFORDABLE Senior housing is basically non existent, income contingent is 2-4 years on a wait list & all the new housing is way overpriced for a large portion of folks much less us seniors.
    Something HAS to be done to curtail this race to the bottom for a segment of our citizens.
