    I take care of a tenant in Edgewater apartments, this building is awful. The elevators have been out for weeks at a time, we have elderly and disabled people who would be killed if there was a fire.
    Maintenence never cleans the floors or the trash rooms, the building is invested with insects and rodents, it doesn't matter how much we clean, the Cockroaches are still here. Management ignores maintenance requests for months at a time. Everyone deserves safe housing.
    I worked hard to purchase my own home because i was tired of dealing with landlords that don't care about my home.
    We need tenant protections!
    We need rent control.
