I am writing to ask that landlords who receive federal money be held to tenant protections. As a tenant in Brooklyn, NY my landlord was able to raise my rent 14% in 2021, when the housing market had rebounded form the coronavirus pandemic but my job and income had not. This is one of thousands of examples of why we need stronger tenant protections. Landlords have too much power and need to be held in check. Thank you.
