Please do not create regulations that restrict rents. To do so will reduce the number property owners willing to rent their homes for fear that they cannot cover their costs of ownership. Basic economics, decreased supply means increased costs. Thus restricted rents will have the opposite impact from making rents more affordable. I suggest increasing incentives to the property owner to provide more rental units. Ex: subsidize interest rates and lower building permit fees to develop rental housing. Greg Lutz
