As a 67 year old I have some real life experience. If a landlord receives money from any government ( people’s money) I believe the such government has a responsibility to make sure the renters are not being taken advantage of. Therefore in a contract that they should all sin to receive any government money they must not be able to raise a persons rent more then ( pick th percentage that is fair.. the government put that percentage in that area of the contract .. and they must give a copy to the tenant. If the tenant proves they have not followed such contract. The money stops for a 5 yr period which then the landlord can resign. This should be in any state that recieved such help to landlords or if such city ,county or municipality has a program they receive housing funds for!! No one has protected renters and the affordability of a home is out of reach so this is a must. In Florida the laws are atrocious…
