We know that the rent is STILL too high. Landlords have too much power over our lives and our homes. They hike our rent, offer slow maintenance or none at all, evict us, and discriminate. We need the federal government to require landlords who get some kinds of federal money to agree to tenant protections, like limiting rent hikes, banning evictions without good cause, and standardizing leases in over 12 million apartment units nationwide.
