Hello,

I, like millions of others in this country cannot afford a house. What this means is that I have to rent. Strong tenant protection, like limiting rent hikes, banning evictions without good cause, and standardizing leases means stability and a lesser chance of becoming unhoused. We have seen a spike in unhoused people across this country, and landlords raising rents to unimaginable levels. We need standardized renter protection now. The situation will not get better without laws put in place to keep people housed.
