I would like to forbid security deposit. Because landlord didn't return it to me. It was illegally but they believed that I am not able to go to court by myself or afford the lawyer. And they are right. I am not able to. I am single mother of disabled child andcan immigrant with limited language , money and time. So, I just give up me deposit. And I am not only one. Many of us lost deposit because of that.
I would like to made illegal requirement to make 3 times rent. Because I never made that. That's impossible for many of us. So, we have a chice to cheat or live on the street and loose our children.
We need a regulation for increasing the rent every year not more then 5% (maybe 10). Because landlord are doing that without limitation.
We would like no penalties for earlier termination of the lease because if you cannot afford pay. And going to the street you have more - lawsuit from corporate business.. ruined credit and no chanses to find place to live even if your life situation became better.
Current situation are givingvlandlords overpower and they are abusing poor people legally and with no consequences.
