We need tenant protections in this country. Landlords have been astronomically increasing their prices and it’s causing a nationwide crisis. I used to live in a studio apartment. It didn’t have a microwave or a dishwasher or a bathtub. I paid $1200 a month to live there because it’s the only place I could go without a guarantor. Then, after a few months, they sent out a notice that our rent was going to increase to $1500 a month. And there was nothing I could do, so I became homeless again. You need to limit rent increases
