The state of housing in this country is atrocious. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment and the rent went from 1900.00 to 2175.00 this month. I have Section 8 and am extremely thankful for it, but why are landlords who do nothing to improve my apartment allowed to raise the rent so high. We are struggling to just make ends meet. Landlords are taking advantage of us and it's unfair. Why won't the government take More control over the housing market, when are they going to take this seriously. The homelessness in what is supposed to be the world's richest country is at an incomprahendible number. Our elders are living on the streets and in cars or tents. This country is getting worse not better.
