I was evicted for being a nuisance and threat to public health and safety. I was flooded with notice after notice for complaints that were not even valid. The property manager was friends with the woman downstairs from me so anything she said was taken as true without even considering if it was the truth. The owner had remodeled all units while they had been empty and mine was the last unit that would need repairs. Since my step father was friends with the owner i was made aware that he would be trying to sell the building soon. They had new cabinets stored in the lower apartment already set to go in mine before I was officially evicted. Odd. Once they started the process of eviction I was unclear about needing to appear in court and was led to beleive that there was a buyout agreement on the table. Once I realized I should have went to court I wasn’t to concerned because I thought I’d be signing a buyout so I didn’t show in court and the process was signed by a judge. So me and my 3 year old daughter are now homeless. It’s greed, it’s lack of compassion and its terrible.
