    I'd like a way to assure us that our property owners and in particular our managers, of HUD properties are adherring to HUD rules. When reporting problems that managers refuse to address and resolve, we try to contact HUD to have the issues resolved. Nothing ever happens. I believe HUD should acknowledge escalated problems, especially when it comes to safety issues, and respond back. As it stands, our names are exposed and managers can and do retaliate. An example is that in my Senior HUD housing, several apartments went all winter with broken heaters. This is a very cold climate that often does not reach 32 degrees in the daytime for weeks. These issues should be addressed and proof given that they were fixed. We also need more inspections because that's the only time things are fixed.
