    I am a senior on Long Island & have lived & worked here my entire life. I can no longer afford to live in the community I lived in for over 50 years. Senior housing has a 4+ year waiting list. The complex I currently live in has raised rent 8% each year for the last 2 years. 80% of my SSDI goes for rent. Section 8 applications have not been available here for 5 years.

    I would like to see a limit on rent increases for seniors equal to no higher than 2/3 of the COLA increase every year.
    I would like to see more & better quality affordable housing for seniors.
    I would like to see the opportunity to apply for section 8 every 2 years.
