I believe that the GSEs, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, should finally be released from conservatorship, which has lasted for close to a decade. Ample evidence has been provided to show that the GSEs were fraudulently taken over, and with the government continuing to undermine the democratic and autonomous principles that are the foundation of this country, it seems as though a totalitarian form of government has taken place. The current state of affairs should be reversed to ensure that the free market continues as it has always existed--with the government remaining simply as a sponsor, not as a proliferation of profiteering at the expense of the American tax payer and investors.
