Please come up with a way to capitalize the GSE's. It is irresponsible to take the path of least resistance and keep plundering Fannie Mae's profits for other government projects. The GSE's current structure is the most efficient way to provide the mortgage liquidity to make homeownership available to Americans. Letting more entrants into the GSE market will make it harder to regulate all entities. Let Fannie recapitalize and honor private shareholder rights. This will ensure that private-public ventures like Fannie Mae will provide the best venue to deliver mortgages in the most efficient, safe, and fair way.
