    My wife and I bought $26K in Freddie Mac Preferreds in 2008 by rolling over from CDs on the recommendation of our then financial adviser indicating these were a safe investment. A few months later, they plummeted in value. We later found out that our financial adviser worked for one of the underwriters of the preferred offering and was pushing them, even when those in the "know" realized that there were problems. We continue to hold these shares hoping that at least for individual investors who have held these securities since 2008, that the unjustified and and illegal government impoundment of Freddie Mac will be reversed and the value of our investment restored.
