I am very much against allowing this new tax on homeowners with good credit scores to be punished and charged higher fees to subsidize costs for high-risk buyers. Instead of robbing Peter to pay Paul, perhaps all public schools should be required to teach financial literacy. I’ve worked extremely hard for what I have, and will not pay extra on my mortgage because I’m good with the little money that I do have.
