I am appalled by the new federal rule that will cause homebuyers with a good credit score to have less favorable mortgage terms compared to riskier borrowers, who will get more favorable mortgage terms because their fees will be reduced.

While I understand this rule's intent, it negatively affects buyers with a good credit score. Additionally, I am aligned with former National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow's opinion that the "if you can't afford a home, just getting a subsidy one time to get a mortgage, you won't be able to carry it" as we saw in 2008. I strongly believe this rule should be reconsidered.
