I totally support Fair Lending and making housing available, however, asking the question on a preferred language skips about 3 steps that need to be taken before this brings any value added to the application process.
    1. Education of the borrowers of the homeownership process
    2. Bringing new lenders up thru realistic education opportunities , and insuring lenders of all backgrounds and languages are available across the country to be able to even accomplish this unrealistic expectation if added to the process at this point
    3. Forms and system upgrades to allow borrowers to complete the forms in their own language, as I see this ripe for fraud by loan officers who translate to the forms information that is advantageous for approval. History has shown that loan officers take advantage of those of the same common language more than those of different languages.
