This is in response to public opinion regarding fees to be charged by Freddie and Fannie to guarantee payment to there investors of same. The tax payer will be on the hook if you allow fees to be charged by them and especially if the FHFA desires to change these agencies into becoming funded via bonds as some of the lawmakers on Capital Hill are pursuing. I am against having these fees applied to any mortgage they issue. I am for having the agencies changed to become covered bond funded institutions, depending on which rules or laws would be implemented. How the Government deals with their current investors will remain to be seen. Will they go of the way of how GM investors were treated? Is this a way to resolve the issue knowing what it desires or knows it will do anyways? It seems that the taxpayer is going to pay one way or another. I am against the fees but am in favor of turning these agencies into a Covered Bond System with the recommendations' and ideas' found at the website www.thefhmsolution.com
