The FHLB system is an integral part in providing funding solutions to financial institutions to help manage their interest rate and liquidity risks while providing affordable housing solutions to Americans in their respective communities. Without the reginal FHLB system credit needs would not be met as well or on an as affordable basis. The recent regional bank liquidity crisis underscores the continued need for regional FHLB bank's that understand the areas they operate in and the unique financing needs that exist in the communities they serve.
