Three Rivers Bank of Montana is a 40 year member of the FHLB. They are an excellent partner providing liquidity to our bank. Our line of credit with the FHLB is fully secured with safe and sound loans. We rarely use the line of credit, however having it available is a key in managing the funding of loans and securities for our bank. The line of credit will be used if there are future growth opportunities whereby loans are growing faster than deposits or in a crisis where deposits rapidly were withdrawn from the bank. We need the FHLB and it is the request from Bank's executive team and board of directors to maintain the FHLB in its current state without change.
