The Brookline Housing Authority is greatly appreciative of FHLBs work to finance affordable housing. The Brookline Housing Authority has been able to leverage FHLB indexed construction and permanent debt to redevelop 432 units of affordable housing. The financing terms and additional soft debt provided by FHLB are critical to producing and preserving affordable housing, especially recapitalizing formerly public housing portfolio.
