    We are a grant recipient of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. Their community development grant is having a tremendous impact on the food insecure population in Long Beach, CA. With their support, we have opened a Food Hub in an area deemed to be a food desert. This refrigerated storage container can hold thousands of pounds of fresh produce, meat, dairy and other high protein healthy food to distribute to food insecure families and seniors that lack the financial resources to maintain a healthy diet. This healthy food that they now have regular access to is having a positive impact on their overall health, their ability to learn in school, their ability to be a productive employee at work, and their physical and mental well-being. This new program has also provided our non-profit some wonderfully meaningful volunteer service opportunities for individuals, families and corporate groups to assist in making food distribution bags which helps to create a sense of community. When we all come together, we can accomplish great things!!! We are incredibly grateful for this partnership.
