As a community bank the FHLB give us access to offer our borrowers fixed rate mortgage through the MPF program. The loans are sold to Fannie Mae. We also are able to borrow funds to help retain liquidity. Any changes to FHLB structure that would risk our ability to these programs would be detrimental to the bank.
