    Dear Director Thompson:

    Thank you for allowing input from FHLBank members regarding the FHFA’s evaluation entitled “The FHLBank System at 100: Focusing on the Future.”

    LGE Community Credit Union is an active member of FHLBank Atlanta since 2001, and I have been with LGE since 2007. During my tenure, we have consistently used advances strategically as a tool to assist us in managing interest rate risk and as a first-choice source for liquidity needs. We also take advantage of FHLBank Atlanta’s significant educational offerings and internal expertise.

    As a hands-on CEO, I feel the FHLBank Atlanta offers us attractive funding alternatives assisting us manage our balance sheet and fulfill liquidity needs in structure, price, and terms that are not readily available from other sources. We view FHLBank Atlanta as an important partner in LGE successfully serving our members, and we are proud to be members of FHLBank Atlanta.
