    Federal Housing Finance Authority Directors and Staff:
    Iowa Trust & Savings Bank has been an active member of FHLB Des Moines when, as a community bank, we became eligible for membership. FHLB Des Moines is invaluable as a financial partner. Without FHLB Des Moines, Iowa Trust would not have access to funding that is vital for the bank to continue serving our important financial role to customers and communities we serve. As we all know, a bank without reliable liquidity sources will not survive.

    Iowa Trust must purchase capital to participate as a FHLB Des Moines member. I implore that any expansion of membership does not risk member capital in the FHLB system, nor impact FHLB Des Moines' ability to serve Iowa Trust and the communities we serve.
