We strongly encourage Fannie Mae to work urgently with Treasury to clarify that Fannie is not a tax-exempt controlled entity so that Fannie can maintain and meet its prior commitments to invest in rural affordable housing developments. These investments are critical to meeting housing needs in our underserved rural communities.
