The current use of FICO scores is outdated and needs to be changed. In the era of self-employed and entrepreneurs, as well as too many potential homeowners being forced to rent, monthly payments and long-term accounts need to be considered. The lack of willingness to loan money to these types of people prohibits them from being homeowners.
