The move to FICO 9 is long overdue there are some very important updates that need to be implemented to match what Fannie and Freddie are doing with Trended credit data. Breaking the "monopoly" that Vantage talks about will not help consumers or Fannie and Freddie. We need to keep the developers of the scoring model and the keepers of the consumer's credit data separate. changing both the model of FICO and allowing Vantage at the same time is not a prudent thing to do. Allow FICO9 first and review Vantages progress down the road. Vantage is decades behind in development compared to FICO.
