Racial inequality in housing continues to be a key factor contributing to racial wealth gaps, educational inequality, health disparities, and policing practices. One of the foundational reasons for this persistent inequality is the ongoing practice of appraising homes based on racial composition. Research into this area is of paramount importance, as is the need to engage research in finding solutions.
