Right now, many manufactured housing residents are suffering under predatory owners such as Havenpark Capital (rebranded to Havenpark Communities.) These out of state owners have an extensive history of raising rent by extreme amounts (over 100% in just a few years in my community), ignoring maintenance, and doing nothing to improve communities except for bringing in new homes to rent out. Many residents are on fixed incomes such as Social Security and cannot keep up with the unjustified rent increases. Our previous owners only raised rent a minimal amount over the years and were able to keep our community looking great and functioning well.
