    I testified last year in the duty to serve call, listing things that FHFA can do to prevent the takeover of manufactured home communities by predatory real estate speculators. Since that time, our situation here in NY has only gotten worse as Cook Properties, the largest owner of MH Parks in NYS continues their reign of neglect and money gouging in the parks they currently own. Our park, as in all of the parks I have been in, is in a slow, continual decline with residents suffering at the neglect all around us. We know you are aware what is happening as many of our members have communicated their stories of experiencing the fear of homelessness associated with predatory ownership of MH parks. Please match dollar for dollar money you so willingly lend to corporations so that we can buy our own parks. Provide effective oversight and enforcement of guidelines that keep parks from the decay we are experiencing. Help us please, to stem the homelessness that these predators are inflicting on homeowners who are essentially at the mercy of people who see tenants as cash flow.
