Office of Financial Technology, please take notice of the following rulemaking petition addressed to CFPB on the issue of housing finance and unlawful kickbacks scaled within the US housing sector https://www.regulations.gov/document/CFPB-2022-0037-0001
FHFA should establish a pathway to work with CFPB to advance RESPA protections and to guard consumers against unlawful kickbacks in connection with federally related mortgage loans in order to deliver its mission to provide greater access to financing for targeted economic development and affordable, equitable, and sustainable housing.
