    Hello, my name is Carol Rohr and I live in Skandia Country Club MHP. My manufactured housing community is owned by Kort & Scott who own hundreds of MH Parks. The process that allows investors to get federally-funded loans needs to be reformed so bad actors can't take advantage of our communities." Often when Kort & Scott buys a MHP, they finance the purchase so they can then use those funds to go out and buy another park. When they bought our park, they immediately raised annually the new residents rents $750/month causing our values to plummet $100,000 and more. We have documentation to prove this. 7 out of 17 MH Parks in Huntington Beach have been purchased in the last 7 years. The owners are raising rents to levels that our seniors and veterans can no longer afford. They are not able to sell their homes and have no choice but abandon their homes.
