    It is long past time the US Government put aside the fantasy that the GSE's need to remain in conservatorship. Where in history as it been necessary to retain such a hold on a company generating $50B a year in profits? The organizations are a vital part of the US housing industry, which makes them a vital part of the US Economy. It is in the best interest of both the stockholders and the US Government to release them from conservatorship and to relist them on the public stock exchanges.
