    i one of the few that purchased common shares before the net sweep. I choose chose to invest in Fannie and Freddie because of the economics behind it and the importance they play in the u.s. housing market. It is my belief without Fannie and Freddie your average homeowner would not be able to get a loan and therefore which would lead to further crashing of the housing market. Shortly after I purchased my shares the government introduced the net sweep， enabling us to retain capital. Which I believe could and will influence the next housing market crash. the reason i never sold is because i couldnt image what could happen id these two companoes were forced into exstintion.
