    I am submitting this comment to request additional time for comment on the Federal Housing Finance Agency's proposed Affordable Housing Program Amendments issued on March 14, 2018, with a 60-day comment period ending May 14, 2018. The Proposed Rule introduces new and complex requirements that could potentially result in significant changes to the Affordable Housing Program. Our organization is concerned with both the acquisition of private housing for preservation of affordability and the development of new affordable housing units. Given the importance of the Affordable Housing Program to the Chinatown Community Land Trust and the residents we serve, we need adequate time to understand and respond to the proposed changes, and ask that the conclusion of the comment period be extended.
