    I have worked with the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines for 17 years, mostly with home ownership programs but also some rental projects. We find that the FHLBDM is effective at providing services to rural Iowans and we like their regional flexibility. We are concerned about "top-down" D.C. regulations that are not in the best interest of the rural people of the Midwest and do not consider the demographics we serve. I have learned that the FHLBDM is one of the most effective government or quasi-government agencies I work with. While lots of programs needs to change, the AHP is not one of them. Thank you,
