    We respectfully request that FHFA grant an extension of time to comment on the FHLB Affordable Housing Program Notice of Proposed Rulemaking. We see that there are significant changes to how this important source of funding for affordable housing projects will be managed in the future, and we desire extra time to solicit feedback from our colleagues. Specifically, we are concerned that the funding priorities that have been set forth in the proposed rule will result in infeasible projects and will not meet the housing needs of communities in upstate New York. We request at a minimum a 30 day extension of time to evaluate the impact of the rule change.
