I think it almost necessary you introduce a method to understand how efficient a home is for all aspects of utilities. every consumer product has a rating (mpg, energy star appliances, etc.) except the largest purchase a person will buy (their home). and on top of that even after purchase it will take at least one year for a home owner to build their own use stats to understand how to improve their efficiency. that is one year less someone could replace their inefficient heater and both save on utilities not spent and use those savings toward efficiency investments. I was even blocked from finding past data on previous renters as it was considered "private data" so I could not look for ways to improve my home. the previous tenants to the home I purchased had a low of 400 kwh and peak of 1600 kWh usage for electricity. (I was given generalities instead of specific data) and as the new tenant I have not seen over 492 kWh!? this is a ever more important field as energy is becoming more expensive and we have no way of seeing into our past. please consider making a system that will capture this data. thank you, Adam wibby
