    My work with nonprofits in West Virginia has taught me the value of having as many banks as is possible participating with federal home loan banks. To potentially eliminate one participating bank is devastating to the housing industry. Affordable housing, community development and investment from federal home loan banks makes the difference to the success of rural development projects. An arbitrary asset test for continued membership will hurt West Virginia's communities.
