    Dear Honorable Director Watt,

The head of the Senate Banking Committee Tim Johnson has asked you on 12-14-14 to end the GSE’s from conservatorship.

“Everyone agrees that conservatorship cannot continue forever, so I hope my colleagues will keep working towards a more certain future for the housing market…If Congress cannot agree on a smooth, more certain path forward, I urge you, Director Watt, to engage the Treasury Department in talks to end the conservatorship.”

You yourself have asked congress to act, and as part of congress the committee has told you to act to release them. Funding these low income programs could be done once its shareholders are returned to their private publicly traded companies. FHFA and the treasury must realize at this time that the time is ripe to release these companies given the billions paid and over paid. Tax dollars could be saved by releasing these companies from conservatorship from the court cases being dropped and saving judicial labor costs. I’ve been a shareholder since June 2010 and it is painful to watch a private company being held as a communist style government taking! I do not see myself as a shareholder of Fannie Mae but a shareholder of the US housing system, I believe in it and the American Dream.

This action by FHFA is a clear violation of the mandate to place the companies in a safe, sound and solvent condition.

I don't believe a company that is 100% shareholder owned should give money to a charity before paying shareholders a dividend.

I have read all 31 comments prior to mine and all speak of the same, end the conservatorship. Your lawyers can argue all they want that FHFA is untouchable and no suit can be brought up against any action they take, but that does not mean it is justifiable when it is a public owned company. The banks, the insurance companies and the car manufacturing companies were released back to the private market, it’s time for housing to also be released.

    Thank you and happy Holidays,

    Ramadan Greva
