Gina Cross is the Chief Operating Officer at the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA). In leading the Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Cross oversees the agency’s day-to-day operations that include facilities management, contingency planning, continuity of operations, financial and strategic planning and budgeting, contracting, hiring and human resources management, information technology, quality assurance, and coordination with the FHFA Office of Inspector General. The Office leads reporting on strategic planning and accountability, and develops recommendations for long-term improvements in Agency operations.

Prior to joining FHFA, Cross was the Chief Operating Officer of AmeriCorps. In this capacity, Cross strengthened the Agency’s operational effectiveness. Before that, Gina was the Acting Director of AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC).

Cross is dedicated to mission-oriented work and began her career serving with the AmeriCorps NCCC program in Class 2 in San Diego, California, followed by a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer in Covington, Kentucky. Her professional experience and expertise include work in both the private and non-profit sectors.
